we get the same thing  here.  from the root of the library, batch edit works fine, once you navigate to a 2nd page or subfolder, the button doesnt do anything.  this stopped working after service pack 1 and some .net security updates went in.

we have found a workaround.  by typing a space at the end of the url and hitting return, the batch edit button works as intended.

this is from one of our developers, but he doesnt have time to try and fix it:

“The error is in the JavaScript provided by BatchEdit, in the first line of the JS it initializes the component, after a page post back the component is not able to initialize.  If the page is refreshed the error goes away and you can use the function.  We are trying to figure out at this point why the component is not initializing on the post back”.

This issue should be solved, it indeed had to do with installing SP1, but has been fixed and tested on the latest Cummulative Updates (October 2011).

Also getting this error.

SharePoint 2010 Enterprise, CU December

Procedure to reproduce:

1. Create document library

2. Create managed metadata column

3. Allow metadata navigation on list and add the mm column

4. Upload documents and provide metadata

5. click on a metadata tag in the metadata browser

6. select at least two documents

7. click "Batch Edit"

--> Error TamTam is undefined

- Reloading page by pressing F5 does not work

Any ideas or fixes?

Thanks.
